The following is a series of stories and pictures depicting the people and animals of the Norfolk Animal Care Center.

Mike Brownen walks the dogs one by one to the outside kennels around 6am where they will eat breakfast. Meanwhile, Mike will begin the daily ritual of cleaning and sanitizing the inside kennels. As a caretaker, his particular interest is in nursing to health dogs that are emaciated due to neglect and cruelty.
