Ain’t nothing like a good two-fer deal to spice up a blah workday.
Tuesdays are your chance to double up on lots of goodies, tasty eats and decent savings downtown. Participating restaurants and retailers are serving up money-saving deals every Tuesday with two-for-one specials or other similar discounts. Go to DowntownNorfolk.org for the entire list of current locations and specials.
Some of our faves:
456 Fish, Bodega, Big Easy and Byrd & Baldwin are all offering two desserts for the price of one. Two brownies for $2 at Oasis Cafe. Two entrees for $20 at Omar’s Carriage House and at Voila!. Two-for-one entrees at Pagoda and City Dock at Sheraton Norfolk Waterside Hotel. And two memberships for the price of one at The Gym Downtown–for when you start feeling guilty for all the gluttony that the sweet deals inspired in you.
Also, coming up is Restaurant Week. So start planning accordingly.
Get a 3-course meal for either $20 or $30 at participating downtown restaurants. Reservations are recommended. Oh, and here’s a map to help you sort out your dining plans.
Another helpful tool–our archived issue of Taste, which featured last season’s restaurant week in the cover story “Seven-Day Feast” by area food writer Marisa Marsey, and beautifully photographed by DCPG.
Bon appetit!
