"Tree of Life," Siddi Sayid Mosque, Ahmedabad, India

One of most iconic images in Ahmedabad is from an open-air mosque along a major roadway. While Ahmedabad’s population is mostly Hindi, my guide described the mosque as a “heritage site” for everyone to appreciate. Lesson: Engage diverse groups as stakeholders in the arts process.
