3.You’ve been featured in Juxtapoz and at Thinkspace. Why do you stay in the area?

I have total peace of mind here to do whatever I want. I escaped from NY to wash the city out of my hair and chill. Moving back to a city and getting swamped in the illusion of a competitive counterculture would be counterproductive. I paint about 10 hours a day, 7 days a week, and Virginia provides a casual freedom away from the distractions of “the business.” I do my biz in LA mostly because I don’t paint boats and lighthouses, so there’s limited venues to show. I also see there’s only about 10 great artists in Hampton Roads, and you know who they are. Without Stuntkid and Liquidmethod, and without you paving the way for interesting talent, I’d feel pretty alone here.
