Friday Featured Artist: Tim Skirven

When and how did you start creating art?

My first memory of making “art” is when my family lived in Philly and I was dropped off for daycare at The House At Pooh Corner (yes, like Pooh Bear). Crayons and fingerpaints and an entire day went by and I remember taping this haggard looking bird to the fridge. Or maybe it was just a blob… but regardless I was siked on it and I wanted to show it. My parents have been the most supportive force in my life and have always given me confidence in creating and showing my talents. At 7 years old, I was commissioned by my Dad to draw a “crazy fish” that still hangs in his office 17 years later.
