You’ve taught sculpture from elementary to university levels students. How does your work as an art educator affect you as an artist?

When I first began teaching, my former professor and friend, Rita Marlier, said that I would be amazed at what I could see through my students’ eyes.  She was absolutely right.  As a visual artist, the more I can see, the more I understand.  One idea can lead to another.
