Friday Featured Art: Renewal

Just last night I was asked to step in as a juror of this terrific show. This will be my third time jurying Renewal, and I can’t be more grateful to have had the opportunity. Whether it’s as a juror, a selection panelist or just as a guest, I have always done what I can to be involved (this year, AltDaily is the show’s official media sponsor), because I truly believe in what this show does for our community. A city without a thriving art scene is, well, anemic. Culture–in its purest form, such as this–is the lifeblood of a dynamic community; it feeds the soul and inspires people to be in touch with each other, and just be better.

Renewal opens tonight at The Warehouse, 1229 W. Olney in West Ghent. Reception from 7 to 10 and dancing from 10 to midnight.
