Video: Dance-a-thon at the Mambo Room

Twelve hours of dancing, lessons, music, and fun. All for an amazing cause.

This past Saturday, the Mambo Room held their 3rd Annual Dance-a-thon at their dance studio in Norfolk. Teams of participants from all around the area gathered together to dance and raise funds for charity. I had the chance to speak with Tracy Holland, the owner of the Mambo Room, as well as participants Kennesha Walker, Claudia Gallego, and AltDaily’s own Dana Staves.

And after the twelve-hour marathon was over? The celebratory afterparty, with the Tambao Salsero Latin Orchestra, began! The marathon raised a phenomenal grand total of $30,000.00. That is definitely a reason to celebrate!
