Here’s a fun math problem:  Local farmers + Local restaurants = ?

The answer? Buy Fresh Buy Local’s first annual fundraising event, Farm to Fork, a partnering of local farmers with local chefs and restaurant owners. The event was held last Sunday at the Virginia Beach Agricultural and Research Extension Center, where attendees sampled local foods, prepared by local chefs, for a localpalooza of sorts.

This event featured food and wine tastings, cooking demonstrations, and a display of food artifacts curated by Patrick Evans Hylton. Our videographer, Mike Frazier, was there with his camera, ready to record the dishes being made, to talk with local farmers about what they do and why they do it, and to capture visitors’ reactions to the food they sampled.
