Meet The New Boss, Same As The Old Boss

What’s up dudes,

So I was checking out the cable news and I just really noticed something.  You want to know what it is?  It’s that Obama is the new Bush.  Really.  I’m serious.  Take a look at what he has done in his first 50 days.

-         Big Government:  Obama has proven to be all about big government.  He has just passed a trillion dollar stimulus package.  He is getting ready to pass a ¾ trillion dollar budget and of course he is getting ready to give more money going to AIG and the banks.  He has done nothing to shrink the size of our government.  In fact, with all the various commissions and agencies needed to track the trillions that he is handing out, he has expanded it.

-         Earmarks:  We just heard about the 9000 earmarks in the last budget.  That was one of the biggest complaints about Bush.  Now I know that 4000 of these earmarks belong to Republicans and I am glad that they are being called out by people like Senator John McCain.  I understand that this is last years budget, but will all the pork in the stimulus and the budget, there is no way to take him serious with his promise.

-         Troops:  He has increased the troop presence in Afghanistan and has stated that he will continue to keep 50,000 troops in Iraq.  So much for bring all the troops home in 18 months.

-         Cleaning Up The Government:  Everyone says Bush lied.  That was the big deal that Bush haters talk about.  Bush is a liar.  Yet Obama has included lobbyist in his administration, (was going to do away with the influence business has on the government), had done things behind closed doors, (transparency issue), has not posted any bill on the internet 5 days for public review and has included tax increases for everyone, (on the back end of things like energy reform).

Of course when you add things like his plan to hook up the unions with open ballots and his reversal on his support of off shore drilling, (which was his stance during the election), you can see that there really isn’t any change since the last administration left and this on came in.  The Wednesday afternoon party which feature big time entertainers like Earth, Wind and Fire and Stevie Wonder while serving one hundred dollar a pound steak is the very definition of tax payer waste.

He has not gained the confidence of our allies in Europe and his faux paus with the British Prime Minister just being the latest.  He has lost the confidence of our Easter European friends and the Israelis.   He has been openly mocked by the Russians, the Iranians, and the Venezuelans.  He has not done anything about the increased violence on the Mexican border, and has decided to call out a private citizen on his comments about his politics.  One thing Bush never did was call out anyone who openly critical for their stance against him and god knows he had been blasted by everyone from Hollywood to the media for 7 and a half years out of his 8.  (He got a 6 month pass after 9-11).

Fifty days into his presidency.  He has had plenty of opportunity to show that he was serious about change.  He hasn’t.  The only thing that he has done is a lot of talking, but not a lot of action.  Show me the change Mr Obama cause I really don’t see it, and trust me, I’m looking.  I’m looking real hard.

Now, I didn’t read your blogpost, and I don’t have to. No one shall ever replace Bruce Springstein, sir.

    I say, “Good Day.”
