How about a little Class from the President.

What’s up dudes,

 

I was just reading a very well written and informative blog by co-head publisher and fellow 24sevencities writer Hannah Serrano about the big G20 summit meeting and I was really taken back by the pictures that she included.  There is the President of The United States, yuking it up like some half drunk, frat boy having his first beer.  WTF?!?!?! 

 

This really wouldn’t be so bad, as every president has had his moments, if it weren’t for the fact that this is the way the man acts.  Like school on Sunday, the man really acts like he has no class.  He really appears to not have any respect for the office.  He presidents himself like some kind of BMOC, the only problem is that, this isn’t college and he isn’t the cool guy captain of the football team, or basket ball team since he fancies himself a b-baller.

 

His treatment of Gordon Brown, the Prime Minister of England during a recent visit was a joke.  It was a total disregard for what an office visit from our greatest ally total means on the global stage. His gift was even more of a joke, DVD’s.  He outdid that awesome gift by give the Queen of England an IPod, filled with his speeches.  Class baby, nothing but class.  I’m talking 007 type of class.

 

You could say what you want about Bush 43, Clinton, or Carter, (I do believe that Reagan and Bush 41 did not have any major gaffs during their respective presidencies), at least they acted like a president should act.  Most of the time anyway, but this is a constant with Obama.  Where is the respect for the office of the President?  Where is the respect for the position and what it implies?  Like it or not, the President should be someone held to a higher level than the average person.  There is protocol, there is respect, there is honor, there is….well….there is the Office and it should mean something. 

 

He is not hanging out on some Chicago street shuckin and jivin with the locals.  He is on the world stage now.  It’s time he started to act like it.  You in the big leagues Obama, better step up your game.

    I think he does have to monitor his public appearances a bit more now that he actually IS president, but that doesn’t mean he still can’t mingle with ‘commoners’.

    I mean. he’s not a monarch or some sh@t, he’s the President of a corrupt, greedy, evil nation. I mean, why can’t he chill at a basketball game having a beer, and be himself?

    America and her ‘stuck up ass’ attitude piss me off sometimes.

    Oh yeah and by the way F#CK Reagan, and F$CK both Bush’s. People like them helped put the nails in the coffin for this country. F%CK them.

    Clinton was cool though. ha.
    and if the monica lewinsky thing wasn’t ‘low class’ i don’t know what is. I guess cuz he was getting some head, its still considered classy. 0_o WTF.

    Maybe more leaders should take the Presidents lead and start ‘hangin with the locals’

    I think he can create a true bond with the people of this country if he doesn’t act like he’s above everyone. Why shouldn’t he hang out with the people who have supported him and made him the biggest thing in Black American History EVER???

    I guess instead of going to the barbershop in his hometown like he used to and show those people love, he should get some expensive ass cut from some wierdo hair dresser for the stars too??

    People need to lighten up and get the F#CK off Obamas back. HE’S A BLACK MAN. HE WILL NOT ACT LIKE ANY PRESIDENT BEFORE HIM. Once everybody gets their noses out of the air, and comes to grips with this fact, everything will be sweet.

    GOTTA SAY I RESPECTFULLY DISAGREE… NURTURING THAT DIVISION OF CLASS IS THE MISTAKE THAT HAS DRIVEN THIS COUNTRY TO ITS KNEES… I LIKE THAT MY PRESIDENT KNOWS HOW MUCH AN IPOD COSTS, I ENJOY THAT MY PRESIDENT TREATS SO CALLED FOREIGN “DIGNITARIES” AND NORMAL CITIZENS WITH THE SAME SMILE AND HANDSHAKE AND DEMEANOR… HOPEFULLY, DEAD AND GONE ARE THE DAYS OF THE NEO-CONSERVATIVES… “I’D LIKE TO DROP MY TROUSERS TO THE QUEEN, EVERY SENSIBLE CHILD WILL KNOW WHAT THIS MEANS…” – SMITHS
