Move over, ICP

Just when it seemed there’d never be a show at the NorVa you could pay me to go to ever again, they’ve added some dates that make me pee my pants a little.
(I can’t say with certainty what the hell has been going on with the NorVa’s scheduling of late; word on the in-the-know-street is the venue’s having a hard time pulling acts all the way to Norfolk since opening The National in Richmond. Dear Bands, yes, I get it’s easier to just stop off I-95 on your East Coast tour than sojourning to Nawfuck; but you’re BREAKING my heart.)
Anyway, amidst a sorrowful schedule of “tribute” acts, Battles to Open for X [x=crappy screamo band], headlining crappy screamo bands, and David Archuleta, shines a few shows of interest for people over the age of 14 and/or not currently in a JNCOs and clown make-up phase:
The Ting Tings
Mon, Mar. 23
7 pm
(Watch how freaking adorable they are here)
Girl Talk
Fri, Apr. 3
9 pm
Bone Thugs -N- Harmony
Mon, Apr. 6
8 pm
If you can’t wait that long, there’s also Citizen Cope on Sat, Feb 28 or Busta Ryhmes on Wed. March 11.
See ya at the crossroads, people.

My daughter really got me into The Ting Tings. They’re pretty damn enjoyable. I wish they could play before a four-year old’s bedtime. I’m sure Grace would love to go with me.
