Brandon Flowers recently blamed Nirvana and grunge for taking the fun out of rock & roll. He has a point. But unlike The Killers, whose music and schtick are often inseparable, Kings of Leon manage to capture the essence of a true rock band without piling on the showmanship. They’re just damn good.
