Tortoise is back!

Heads up to all you kids who like that whole Chicago post rock sound: Tortoise is releasing new material… for the first time in 5 years. It’ll be out this April.

For those of you who think of a reptile when I mention Tortoise, enjoy the often jazzy, often electronic, always interesting band for the first time on YouTube:

    This is yet another example of why Thrill Jockey is such a great label. Late last year they gave us Bill Dixon and the Exploding Star Orchestra and a new Sea and Cake while this year we can look forward to new stuff from Arbortoreum, Pontiak and now THIS. Good looking out, Brendan.
