What’s up dudes,
So now for those of you who have ever met me, you know that I love to eat. I love to eat a lot. I’m a big fan of food. Steaks, pork chops, rice and beans, mash potatoes, I mean I love food and I’m sure that a lot of you guys do also. Well on Sunday, the 15th, a chef named Edward Storey and a restaurant called Bardo have decided to up the ante…….if your not scared.
Sunday is the day that Bardo’s under the masterful hand of executive chef Edward Storey are introducing the bizarre foods dinner. This is not a dinner for the faint of heart or the weak of stomach. The adventurous are the only one’s who need to apply as Storey has searched the world for some of the most exotic dishes to serve the unsuspecting appetites of Hampton Roads.
“I got in to this area of food after reading Burdain’s books.” says Storey who has taken his interest in cooking and decided to expand beyond the normal baked chicken. “I started thinking, “if these people eat it and love it why can’t I. so I started playing in the kitchen and doing research , and when the bosses came up to me and purposed the dinner to me I jumped for it.”
Bardo’s, which is located in 430 W21st Street in Ghent, decided to take a chance and let Storey import dishes like, Kill It and Grill It Scorpion, Slow Braised Sweet and Sour Chicken’s Feet with Sticky Rice, and the ever favorite Rocky Mountain Oysters with Pan Gravy and Toast Pionts.
If you love to eat, aren’t squeamish, and want to eat on the wild side. Go check out Bardo this Sunday night. Call 757-515-2075 for reservations and get ready to let Edward Storey take you to far away lands and taste far away things, right in downtown Ghent.
