The Wedding Banquet: A very forced, awkward civil union.

Funnyman Demetri Martin: he's cute, but is he too cute?
Ang Lee has worked with an impressive line-up of actors. Tom Wilkinson. Hugh Grant. Kevin Kline. Tobey Maguire. Elijah Wood. Henry Czerny. Chow Yun-Fat. Eric Bana. Nick Nolte. Sam Elliott. Heath Ledger. Jake Gyllenhaal. Randy Quaid. So it should be no surprise that his latest directorial adventure, Taking Woodstock, stars none other than the acting powerhouse that is…Demetri Martin? Really? I don’t know, okay. I guess I have no reason to complain. I mean, maybe, you know, Demetri just happens to be an awesome actor. Certainly no way to tell at this point.
This is the plot synopsis offered by the imdb:
“A man working at his parents’ motel in the Catskills inadvertently sets in motion the generation-defining concert in the summer of 1969.”
I totally bet the concert is Woodstock. Seriously, if anybody wants to take me up on it, I’ll put down up to $20 on my faith that this movie is about Woodstock.

ABOUT THE WRITER
George Booker is writing this about himself in the third person. He was considering second person, maybe making this the "Bright Lights, Big City" of bios. He was looking into casting Micheal J. Fox in the forthcoming film adaptation, as the disabled actor would likely portray him with ample charm, sympathy, and fifty-something boyish handsomeness. Recently, however, Booker has realized that only Anne Hathaway or Chiwetel Ejiofor could really capture his essence. Late 20s, Norfolk raised music writer. Former DJ and production head for WVFS Tallahassee, former staff clerk at defunct Norfolk music stores DJ's and Relative Theory. Current Film Editor and Contributor to No Ripcord Magazine, contributed blurbs to Link and Port Folio Magazine.

I guess we are supposed to feel good about the connections we find in this world . . . It’s supposed to make us feel safe, or something? I mean: six degrees of Kevin Bacon is the be all, right?.
I’m not taking the bet here, but I now have to see this movie. So I’ll let you know if you were right.
Are you still a “young comedian” at 35? Hmmm… I guess I feel somewhat better about staring down the barrel of 40…
young enough. not alot of people know, but dane cook is 57.
Calling Dane Cook funny and 57 are the same thing – a huge stretch…
